1.) Give three different examples on how you can use Twitter to advertise a party.

1.1 Find your friends and invite them to follow you. Post a message on the twitter and your friends will receive your message.

1.2 You can access twitter through your PDA and send a message.

1.3 You can ask your friend to send a message to invite their friends.



2.) What are three disadvantages and three disadvantages of using Twitter instead of using cell phone messages?

a) Disadvantages

2.1 You may get a lot of messages which is about 1000 up if you follow too many people like 100 up or you’re a celeb or a well-known person and you can’t catch up all those messages. The cell phones message would not have that problem because it’s not free.

2.2 Let suppose that A is following B and B is following C but A is not following C. If B post “Where is you C.” This proves that A can receive many messages that are not important or related to A which can mess up the first page. Everyone can face the problem. It likes spamming. The cell phone message is normally sent to the person who really needs to know it.

2.3 Another problem is that suppose you follow A but A don’t follow you so if you want to reply something to A, you cannot do that. Instead, the cell phone can do it.

b) Advantages
2.4 Twitter is free no charge if you update through the internet.

2.5 Everyone can follow someone or organization’s messages. Ex, you can keep updating Ballack Obama’s messages. On the other hand, you can’t do that by the cell phone.

3.) Explain how twitter is similar to blogging and also how it is similar to Facebook.

Twitter is similar to blogging because they’re both like a diary. However, Twitter can only add a text with only 140 characters which is much lower than blogging and also there are no picture and flash. Facebook is also similar to Twitter because they’re both like a diary but Facebook is kind of like e-mail but Twitter is not really. It’s more like sms
